ProSidian Seeks a FOIA Analyst | FOIA Administration Support [USA008013] for Program Support on a Exempt W2: No Overtime Pay Basis located in the OCONUS - Caribbean Region (Greater and Lesser Antilles – Cuba) supporting The Staff Judge Advocate (OSJA), Joint Task Force of The Dept. of the Army Office located at Naval Station Guantanamo Bay (GTMO), Cuba that provides legal counsel and oversight to JTF-GTMO operations in compliance with U.S. and international law.

Seeking FOIA Analyst candidates with relevant DOD/Military Sector Experience to support professional services engagement for DOD/Military Sector Clients.

JOB OVERVIEW

Provide services and support as a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Administration Support (FOIA Analyst) in the DOD/Military Industry Sector focusing on Compliance Solutions for clients such as US Department of the Army (Army) | Office of the Staff Judge Advocate, Joint Task Force – Guantanamo Bay (JTF-GTMO), Cuba.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Processes Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, conducts document searches, reviews responsive materials, applies redactions, and ensures compliance with FOIA and declassification policies.
  • Uses FOIA case tracking systems and prepares official correspondence and legal documentation.
  • Compiling scanning, and preparing reports, documents, briefing materials, and various correspondences.
  • Initial review of FOIA requests, reviewing responsive materials, applying redactions using Redact Express and similar tools, ensuring compliance with FOIA statutes.
  • Providing FOIA-specific training to action officers and providing technical support.
  • Support the development of an action plan for new FOIA cases.
  • Support and Conduct quality assurance reviews for redactions submitted by JTF-GTMO Directorates.
  • Support and Tracks and coordinates responses from various offices and redacts materials where appropriate.
  • Support and Processing FOIA requests using the department’s FOIA request management tracking system.
  • Support and Drafts and prepares for signature responses to requests, which may contain redactions or partial denial to protect information.
  • Support and Communicating with outside organizations and higher headquarters on FOIA-related matters.

Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications

  • Experience in FOIA processing, declassification reviews, and legal document preparation within a DoD or federal government environment.
  • Proficiency with document management systems, Redact Express, and classified material handling.
  • Strong understanding of FOIA exemptions, security classification guides, and federal records management regulations.
  • Ability to work independently, coordinate across multiple stakeholders, and maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in processing FOIA requests and redacting documents as a primary responsibility.
  • Shall be able to read, write, speak, and understand English, as well as possess basic computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, SAFE, and Redact Express.
