General Assistants Wanted for the 2025 Season! Join the Porth Tocyn Hotel Team
Location: Abersoch, North Wales
Season: April 4th – End of October
Pay: £10.20 - £12.25 per hour + tips & holiday pay
Accommodation & Meals: Available for just £6.50/day
Contract Length: 7 months / full or part time (with potential for future seasons)
Hours: Avg. 35+ hours/week (more in peak season)

Your Role as a General Assistant
A varied, hands-on role where you’ll support different areas of the hotel, including:
Restaurant & Bar Service – Taking orders, serving food & drinks, and creating a warm dining experience.
Housekeeping – Ensuring rooms and communal areas are clean and welcoming.
Reception & Guest Services – Checking guests in/out and assisting with inquiries.
Kitchen & Porter Duties – Supporting the kitchen team as needed. (optional additional)
What We’re Looking For
We’re after friendly, hardworking, and proactive individuals who thrive in a team environment. Experience in hospitality is a plus, but not essential – a great attitude is what matters most!

Hours & Working Patterns
We operate on a shift system, including:
Most roles will involve working two shifts per day, including split shifts. Hours will vary based on demand, averaging 35+ hours per week across the season (with increased hours in peak season).
Days Off: These will vary weekly, but we aim to accommodate requests with notice. Weekends and bank holidays are our busiest times, so availability is essential.

Front of House Staff:
Women – White long-sleeve blouse, black skirt (provided), flat black shoes.
Men – White or pale blue shirt, black/navy suit trousers or chinos, smart shoes, pastel tie (for dinner service).
Kitchen & Porter Staff: Smart casual – Clean jeans (no rips) and a plain t-shirt.
