FLT Production Operator
Deeside
9 months Temporary, Full time - 37.5 hours per week
£13.50 per hour + £136.39 Shift allowance per week
Rotational 3 Shift Pattern covering Days & Nights: 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00, 22:00-06:00
ASAP Start

We have a great opportunity for an experienced FLT Production Operative to join our client who is a leading global paints and coatings company. The successful candidate will be responsible for manufacturing paint material within the Production department to ensure the smooth operation of the Production process in accordance with due-time, cost and quality. This is a full-time temporary role working a rotational 3 shift pattern based on their site in Deeside.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Support the Filling operation of finished products in the Production department.
  2. Support the Production department where needed during busy times.
  3. Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures at all times.
  4. Ensure that production runs smoothly and proactively identify and deal with potential road-blocks that would slow down production.
  5. Ensure Production deadlines are met.
  6. Manage workloads safely and efficiently to meet production demands.
  7. Help identify bottlenecks to reduce downtime on the plant, ensuring a smooth production operation.
  8. Report failures in meeting production rates.
  9. Report machine breakdowns to the maintenance team.
  10. Observe operational safety and legal regulations of the company.
  11. Complete accurate documentation for all processes.
  12. Adhere to all HSE requirements.
  13. Liaise with other departments to ensure good communication and that customer requirements are met.
  14. Implement instructions from technical, e.g., rework material, ensuring the use of redundant material.
  15. Engage at Production Tier 1 meetings.


Role Requirements:

  1. GCSE including Math's & English.
  2. Good verbal and written communication skills.
  3. FLT Counterbalance license.
  4. Demonstrable experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  5. Expertise working with machinery within Production areas.
  6. Good knowledge of Plant in all areas.
  7. Full understanding of methods and procedures within the Production department.
  8. Knowledge of hazardous substances.
  9. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  10. Experience of paint and chemicals would be advantageous.
