FLT Operator

We are currently looking for a FLT Operator role available at Kemsley Mill for our client DS Smith. This role is ideal for someone with a valid FLT licence and experience with Forklift for both Counterbalance in the previous roles.

Role: FLT Operator
Location: DS Smith Packaging, Kemsley Mill, Sittingbourne ME10 2TD
Rate: £16 per hour
Contract length: 3 months initial contract with possibility of extension
Shift Patterns: 60 Hours per week, shift rotation: 1 week of day shifts, 1 week of night shifts and then 1 week off

Responsibilities:

• Operate a Forklift to load/unload trailers and transport materials and finished goods to various warehouse areas.
• Follow all plant and safety standards including wearing proper PPE.
• Loading and unloading of trailers.
• Careful handling of finished goods.
• Managing shipping and receiving work.
• Read and interpret the Vendor Bill of Lading.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by Management.

Essential requirements:

• Experience with valid Counterbalance and in a Warehouse/Manufacturing environment.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Ability to work to the shift pattern at all times.
• Good knowledge of UK Health and Safety Legislation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to work as a team player as well as on own initiative.

• Reach, PPT licence.
