Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Forklift Driver/Yard Operative to join the team. This is a dual-role position requiring both forklift operation and general yard duties. The successful candidate will be an essential part of our daily operations, ensuring materials are moved safely and efficiently while also contributing to the upkeep and organisation of the yard.

PERM ROLE FOR THE RIGHT PERSON

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a forklift truck (B2 license required) to move large and heavy materials and units around the site
• Load and unload deliveries in line with company procedures
• Perform general yard operative duties including cleaning, organising, and maintaining the yard area
• Support the preparation and maintenance of modular units
• Conduct basic checks and report any defects or issues with equipment
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth site operations

Requirements:

• A proactive attitude and ability to work independently
• Strong awareness of site safety
• Reliable and punctual with good communication skills
• Permanent position for the right candidate

Competitive hourly rate of £12.98. Consistent daytime hours (Monday to Friday, 06:00 - 14:30). Opportunity to work with a reputable industry leader. Supportive team environment and on-the-job training.
