Typical shift as a bank Support Worker

  1. There is lots for you to do and get involved in, from assisting customers with their practical, daily living tasks to working through support plans, helping them to achieve independence.
  2. One shift you might be working a sleep-in, making sure you’re available for overnight support; the next you might be working the day shift and enjoying fish and chips by the sea with your customer.
  3. You’ll be helping our vulnerable customers in a variety of services.
  4. You might find yourself working in accommodation-based services, a registered care home or supporting our customers in a community or home-based setting.

You bring

  1. Enjoyment working with a range of customers.
  2. Flexibility to work at short notice, as you’ll be the one picking your next shift.
  3. Experience as a Support Worker. It is important that you have worked in this type of environment before.
  4. A positive, can-do and caring attitude, with the desire to learn to continue making a difference to our customers' lives.
  5. Previous experience of working with support plans, recording, and using information concisely and effectively.

Our team

You’ll join our wider services in the West Yorkshire region, and the great thing is you can pick up shifts in any of these services that need it! Currently, we have hours available in our Huddersfield service with our manager Karla. Our team are all super passionate about what we do! We’re a supportive bunch, and between us have hobbies and interests including walking, eating out, and football.

Job details

  1. We’re looking for you to work across the Yorkshire region which includes our services in Huddersfield.
  2. Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans / doing mandatory learning / keeping in touch with colleagues.
  3. You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.

Due to limits on our current certificates of sponsorship, we are not able to offer sponsorship to external candidates for this role. This remains under regular review.
