Job description

Job Description

We are looking for high caliber automotive mechanics wanting to serve their community by supporting our fleet for safe ambulance operations. Compensation is $19.00-$39.50 per hour DOE. Previous dealership mechanic experience is not required.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Work with our experienced mechanics on diagnosing and performing simple to complex repairs.
  • Build relationships with vendors when getting estimates for parts or labor.
  • Interact with EMTs and Paramedics operating in the field to prioritize services and ensure an adequate number of vehicles remain in service to continue providing high quality emergency services.

Qualifications:

  • 18 years or older.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
  • Ability to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in tight spaces under vehicles for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to carry and maintain the required tools for the position.
  • Driver's license has not been suspended or revoked in connection with a moving violation in the past 3 years.
  • ASE and EVT certification (Fleet Mechanics will be expected to obtain some ASE certifications within one year of employment and will be reimbursed for expenses upon obtaining certification).
