This role is for Enable Investment Holdings Group, which is made up of a group of small to medium sized companies. We are a vibrant, forward-looking mid-sized business operating in several infrastructure construction market sectors. Due to continued growth and success, we are looking to recruit a Fleet Assurance Coordinator/Manager.


The Fleet Assurance Coordinator/Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance and excellence in fleet safety, efficiency, and environmental standards. The role focuses on maintaining and advancing FORS accreditation, developing policies, and implementing initiatives to ensure safe, sustainable, and cost-effective fleet operations within the group.


This role can be based out of our Southwark office or Lingfield depot; travel to each will be required to maintain collaboration in the group.


Main responsibilities include:

  1. Manage the companies FORS Accreditation, ensuring compliance with FORS standards (Bronze/Silver/Gold).
  2. Prepare for and lead external FORS audits and assessments.
  3. Develop and maintain policies and procedures to meet FORS Requirements.
  4. Monitor and update documentation and training records relating to FORS vehicle insurances.
  5. Manage and maintain driver competence and compliance (onboarding, assurance checks).
  6. Monitor and report on environmental impacts, supporting the group's key goals and targets.
  7. Implement the Carbon Reduction Plan and the associated carbon reduction programme.
  8. Utilise telematics and other data sources to monitor and improve fleet performance and safety.
  9. Report on fleet metrics, including fuel usage incidents and compliance.
  10. Develop and implement fleet assurance strategies, including risk assessments, safety audits, and compliance checks.
  11. Lead investigations, establish root causation, and corrective actions.
  12. Manage active fleet insurance claims. Liaise directly with the group insurers.
  13. Ensure fleet vehicles are maintained to meet safety and regulatory standards, including all statutory and vehicle checks.
  14. Monitor Driver compliance with the Enable Group’s safety policies.
  15. Support our commitment to Net Zero and support carbon workshops and associated training across the group.
  16. Promote sustainability practices to improve fuel efficiency and reduce carbon emissions.
  17. Promote sustainability practices within the fleet, including alternative fuels and route optimisation.
  18. Promote and encourage the highest standards relating to driver behaviour.
  19. Take the lead with all driving-related accident/incident investigations.
  20. Establish root causation and share respective lessons learnt with the group following your investigations.

Experience

  1. Experience within a fleet department.
  2. Experience with fleet management systems and compliance around Fleetcheck.
  3. Extensive knowledge of the requirements of FORS.

Qualifications

  1. Experience in fleet coordination/management.
  2. FORS Practitioner or willingness to obtain.

Technical skills

  1. Member of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) – optional.
  2. Proficiency in fleet and compliance software, route optimisation, and telematics.
  3. Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and transport legislation.

Additional skills

  1. Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
  2. Ability to instigate change and challenge through intervention where required.
  3. Hold a valid driving license.
  4. Experience with producing KPIs and using this data to create risk-based reports to drive continuous improvement.
