Job Title: Fitness Personnel

Reports to: General Manager

Purpose:

This position is responsible for oversight and supervision of the fitness facility in Kings Gym while on shift. Individuals holding this position must be able to solve on-the-job issues by utilizing effective critical thinking and decision-making skills. This person is responsible for providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all members of the Kings Gym community. Lastly, this person is responsible for providing quality customer service by assisting members with their long-term fitness goals.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Provide customer service through: interacting with members, assisting with queries, selling merchandise, upgrading memberships, educating participants on how to use equipment, and answering questions.
2. Ensure the fitness area remains clean and organized; organize loose weights, weight plates, and bars on the gym floor and communicate with members to keep the facility tidy. Disinfect and clean equipment and complete simple maintenance checks.
3. Actively supervise the gym floor, completing regular floor checks.
4. Maintain a clean and tidy workspace behind the counter.
5. Act in a professional manner by upholding Kings Gym policy when involved in conflict management with members and staff.
6. Perform opening/closing procedures of the fitness floor and cardio areas.
7. Attend mandatory meetings and team training sessions.
8. Actively market and promote current facilities and programs as per your manager’s request.
9. Maintain a standard of performance on daily tasks.
10. Communicate clear and concise information as needed to members, emergency medical service personnel, and police services where required.
11. Adhere to all Kings Gym guidelines and any reasonable request from your line manager or the senior leadership team.
12. Ensure all members are following the Kings Gym Policy.
13. Understand the KGAudit.

Your KPI’s:

Your KPI’s will be agreed and communicated by your line manager.

Starting salary: £11.44 per hour

Working Hours:

5-30 / 6-30 hours. Working days are Monday to Sunday, with a flexible approach to working days/times to ensure effective management of an operation which trades across 7 days a week.
