Ruskin Mill College is the founding college of Ruskin Mill Trust. Located in the Cotswolds, the 140-acre site includes a wooded valley, a trout farm, market gardens, sustainably managed woodlands, and a biodynamic farm. Nestled in the landscape are craft workshops including pottery, forge, textiles and woodwork.
Established in 1984, Ruskin Mill Trust is an educational charity that operates in England, Scotland, and Wales. We offer exciting outdoor learning environments, utilising practical land and craft activities to support the development of work and life skills in young people with autistic spectrum conditions and other learning differences. Our research-led method, Practical Skills Therapeutic Education, is inspired by the work of Rudolf Steiner, John Ruskin, and William Morris. This post is based at Ruskin Mill College, Nailsworth, Nr. Stroud, with occasional travel to Bristol.

We are looking for people with great character and a desire to make a positive impact on young people’s lives, and to provide students with support and guidance to help them engage in timetabled sessions in a safe and appropriate way.
We are seeking to appoint a Fish Farm Tutor to offer specific and specialist educational support in the delivery of a therapeutic education program to a number of students using methods in line with the Trust’s principles. The post holder will be expected to embrace, articulate, and work with the Trust’s objectives, vision, values, purpose, and method, ensuring that the Trust’s paradigm of biodynamic agriculture, Anthroposophical medicine, and practical skills education, which is informed by Steiner Education, is maintained, implemented, and integrated.
No qualifications necessary as on-the-job training will be provided.
