We are recruiting to the post of First Line Manager to offer direct support to people with a Learning Disability that may also have complex and challenging needs. This is a very hands-on as well as management role. You may be required to work city-wide across the service and be flexible regarding rotas. Weekend work and Bank Holidays will be required and form part of the rota which will include being part of the On Call Rota.

Working within the Learning Disabilities Team you will be familiar with IT and Microsoft Teams, have excellent communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team, the commitment to undertake any training required and believe in Sheffield City Council's Values: People are at the heart of what we do, Openness and Honesty are important to us, Together we get things done.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part-time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide pay slip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
