First Contact Physiotherapist

As part of the North Dartmoor Primary Care Network (PCN), this role offers the chance to make a real difference in the community while working with a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team. You will be the first point of contact for patients presenting with musculoskeletal conditions, helping them to manage pain, recover, and prevent future issues.

Main duties of the job

1. Provide expert physiotherapy assessments and treatment to patients presenting with musculoskeletal concerns.
2. Work collaboratively in managing chronic conditions and recovery from injuries or surgery.
3. Ensure efficient and high-quality delivery of physiotherapy services within the practices.
4. Provide education and advice on injury prevention, exercises, and lifestyle modifications.

About us

We are North Dartmoor PCN involving 5 practices: 4 rural and 1 urban large practice (Lead Practice). We have a Clinical Director and a PCN Manager who work part-time. You will be working within 2 of the practices: Chagford Health Centre and Cheriton Bishop Surgery.

Job responsibilities

To provide advanced clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with musculoskeletal conditions in primary care settings. To work autonomously within a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality care and supporting patients to manage their health effectively.

Person Specification

Qualifications

• Relevant postgraduate qualifications in MSK or Primary Care Physiotherapy.
