Job description

Fire Sprinkler Engineer

A Fire Sprinkler Engineer is required for a Crawley based fire safety company in a permanent position. This is a position which services London and the surrounding areas.

The Role:
  1. Carry out servicing and remedial works of Commercial and Residential Sprinkler Systems, Fire Hydrants, Fire Hose Reels, Dry/Wet Risers in accordance with the latest British and EN standards.
  2. Provide information to quote to upgrade or modify these systems in relation to manufacturers and industry guidelines.
  3. Ensuring all work meets industry standards and complies with safety regulations.
  4. Conducting inspections, testing, and servicing of fire sprinkler & wet riser systems.
  5. Identifying and troubleshooting system issues, providing necessary repairs.
  6. Reading and interpreting blueprints and design layouts.
Experience & Skills
  1. Proven experience (5 years) in a similar role.
  2. Knowledge of fire sprinkler systems (BS9251).
  3. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  4. Certification or qualifications in fire protection systems (preferred but not required).
  5. Specialist tools will be provided.
  6. Flexible to work across single and multiple site locations.
  7. Strong knowledge of commercial and residential sprinkler systems, with the ability to perform system changeovers.
  8. Competent with fire alarms and all kinds of commercial sprinkler systems.
  9. Full UK drivers' licence.
