Job Description:

Fire & Security Lead Engineer Opportunity

A self-motivated person who gives day to day support and guidance to the engineering team in their area, they will plan and monitor the maintenance tasks and work in conjunction with the Scheduler for the area to ensure effective and profitable use of the engineering resource for region.

  • To ensure performance and service is in line with compliance and monthly schedules
  • Respond to customer needs, complaints, and concerns with a sense of urgency as and when required.
  • Complete toolbox talks with direct reports providing clear records of completion to the compliance team.
  • Be available for site surveys and installation handovers as directed by your Regional Service Manager.
  • Organise and maintain and communicate an effective call out rota for the area - note - you are not required to be on the call out rota.
  • Responsible for minor works delivery within area through dedicated minor works resource.
  • To assist the Regional Service Manager in management of engineering team.
  • Deputise for your Regional Service Manager as and when required during periods of sickness and holidays.
  • Support engineers in stock control and further action management.
  • Attend and assist with troublesome sites and complaints.
  • Technically support DRS and Sales Team with quotations.
  • Initial planning of ppm on large/complex sites – meeting with customers in support of key sites in region.
  • Assist in delivery of small bespoke projects and ensure on time delivery.

What we look for from our future Lead Engineers

  • At least 5 years’ experience as an accomplished multi-disciplined Fire & Security Engineer
  • Supervisory experience in a previous engineering role
  • Technical background in the electrical/electronic industry would be beneficial
  • Experience of front-line customer service will be preferential
  • A full UK Driving Licence – mandatory
