Fire Safety Consultant

One of the UK’s leading fire specialist firms is now searching for an experienced Fire Safety Consultant to become part of their growing, friendly, and flexible team in Essex.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Fire Safety Consultant to conduct fire risk assessments, develop fire safety strategies, and provide expert consultancy to clients across a number of residential property types.

The Fire Safety Consultant’s Role

The Fire Safety Consultant will work closely with clients, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to ensure compliance with fire safety legislation and best practices.

• Conducting comprehensive fire risk assessments for complex buildings.
• Developing fire safety management plans and emergency evacuation plans.
• Assisting in retrospective fire strategy reports and gap analyses of existing buildings.
• Providing technical fire safety advice to clients, management, and internal teams.
• Ensuring compliance with UK fire safety regulations and industry standards.
• Liaising with local authorities, building control, and safety professionals.
• Supporting the technical team with client queries and new service development.
• Keeping up to date with legislation, standards, and fire safety innovations.

The Fire Safety Consultant Will Have

• Relevant fire safety qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH Fire Certificate, IFE accreditation, or equivalent).
• Proven experience in fire risk assessment and fire safety consultancy.
• Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation, regulations, and building codes.
• Experience developing fire safety strategies and emergency plans.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to liaise with clients and authorities.
• Strong report-writing and analytical skills.
