Job Title: Fire Risk Assessor
Location: Slough, Berkshire
Salary/Benefits: 27k - 55k + Training & Benefits
Our client is a multi-disciplined Compliance and Environmental outfit, who have a rapidly-growing Fire Risk / Health & Safety division. Due to winning new contracts, they are seeking a knowledgeable Fire Risk Assessor in the South East of England. Applicants must be able to demonstrate a high level of industry knowledge and will ideally have enthusiasm for delivering an excellent service from start to finish. You will be covering sites across: Slough, Windsor, Hounslow, Southall, Maidenhead, Reading, High Wycombe, Watford, Harrow, Borehamwood, Wembley, Potters Bar, St Albans, Welwyn Garden City, Stevenage, Cheshunt, Harpenden, Luton, Twickenham, Kingston upon Thames, Mitcham, Sutton, Epsom, Croydon, Bromley, Orpington, Caterham, Redhill, Woking.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Must have experience working as a Fire Risk Assessor for a reputable outfit
- Will be qualified with NEBOSH General and / or NEBOSH Fire Safety
- Ideally you will be a member of the IFSM and / or IFE, but this is not essential
- Excellent working industry knowledge
- Strong written ability and comfortable using IT applications
- It would be beneficial to have experience on a range of sites, including: commercial, healthcare and local authority
- Flexible to travel as required
The Role:
- You will be conducting Fire Risk Assessments across a mixed portfolio of client sites
- Writing bespoke reports for clients to advise on highlighted risks and required actions
- Reviewing existing fire safety and health and safety plans to highlight areas for improvement
- Creating site-specific emergency and evacuation plans
- Meeting clients on site to discuss findings of reports and provide technical advice
- Devising site specific schematic drawings and annotating on existing plans
- Maintaining personal knowledge of any changes to industry guidelines
- Supporting the training of new members of staff
- Leading fire safety training courses
- Conducting work in a professional manner
