Join The Tersus Team as a Fire Risk Assessor with Tier 2 experience

Salary: Upto £48,500 per year, dependent on experience with car allowance.

Location: The ideal person will be located in York, Sheffield, Derby, Leicester or Nottingham areas.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Conduct fire safety risk assessments in line with the latest regulations.
  • Produce clear and actionable reports that guide clients towards compliance.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders, explaining findings and recommendations with clarity and confidence.
  • Stay ahead of changes in fire safety legislation and industry best practices, ensuring our advice is always the best available.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance our services and share knowledge.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A degree or qualification in Fire Engineering or Fire Safety.
  • Registered with the IFSM, Tier 2 or similar competency scheme.
  • At least 2 years experience within the fire industry.
  • Experience with compartmentation and/or door inspections desirable but not essential as training will be given.
  • Proven experience in conducting fire risk assessments.
  • Strong understanding of current fire safety regulations and legislation.
  • Exceptional communication skills — the ability to engage and inform clients with ease.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset that helps you identify potential hazards swiftly.
  • A valid driving license, as this role involves visiting various sites.
  • Enthusiasm for continual learning and professional growth.
