Fire and Security Project Manager

Job description

Location - We are ideally seeking a candidate based in the Midlands who is willing to travel to client sites as needed.

About the Role

As a Project Manager, you will coordinate the installation of fire alarm and security systems, ensuring standards are met while enhancing profit margins on small to medium-sized projects.

Specifically, your key responsibilities will include:

1. Ensuring adherence to health and safety policies.
2. Managing daily site activities and leading meetings.
3. Assisting in obtaining technical accreditations and project infrastructure development.
4. Overseeing on-site engineering activities and preparing technical designs for quotations.
5. Developing and maintaining client relationships.
6. Running projects effectively and ensuring completion meets customer requirements.
7. Compiling documentation to NSI and BAFE standards.
8. Managing schedules using software (Uptick) and ordering necessary equipment.
9. Producing progress reports and detailed work schedules.
10. Planning and managing resources, while ensuring high work standards.
11. Collaborating with the Operations Director to grow the Fire & Security Divisions.
12. Supporting day-to-day operations and expanding customer relationships.

About You

We would like to hear from you if you have:

1. Previous experience working as a project/contracts manager or a senior technical role.
2. Extensive experience working within the Fire and Security industry.
3. Previous experience balancing multiple projects.
4. SSTS / SMSTS / IOSH or other H&S qualification beneficial.
