My client is a leading Fire Protection Business and is looking to recruit a Fire Alarm Engineer servicing and maintaining fire alarms. They are looking for someone to cover the Manchester and surrounding areas.
Role - Fire Alarm Service Engineer
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £34,000.00 - £38,000.00 per year
Monday to Friday with out-of-hours and weekend cover.
An experienced Engineer is a necessity.
Responsibilities:
- Perform service and maintenance on Fire Alarm and Emergency Lights.
- Conduct inspections and tests to ensure systems are functioning properly and in compliance with regulations.
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues with fire protection equipment.
- Install new fire protection systems as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Report system defects/problems accurately.
- Work unsupervised for periods of time.
- Complete paperwork to a professional standard.
- Organise own scheduling and replenishment of van stock.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a fire engineer or in a similar role is essential.
- Knowledge of fire protection systems and equipment.
- Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in the installation and maintenance of fire protection systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
