Fire Alarm Service Engineer

My client is a leading Fire Protection Business and is looking to recruit a Fire Alarm Engineer servicing and maintaining fire alarms. They are looking for someone to cover the Manchester and surrounding areas.

Role - Fire Alarm Service Engineer

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £34,000.00 - £38,000.00 per year

Monday to Friday with out-of-hours and weekend cover.

An experienced Engineer is a necessity.

Responsibilities:

1. Perform service and maintenance on Fire Alarm and Emergency Lights.
2. Conduct inspections and tests to ensure systems are functioning properly and in compliance with regulations.
3. Troubleshoot and repair any issues with fire protection equipment.
4. Install new fire protection systems as needed.
5. Maintain accurate records of service performed and parts used.
6. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
7. Report system defects/problems accurately.
8. Work unsupervised for periods of time.
9. Complete paperwork to a professional standard.
10. Organise own scheduling and replenishment of van stock.

Experience:

1. Previous experience as a fire engineer or in a similar role is essential.
2. Knowledge of fire protection systems and equipment.
3. Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in the installation and maintenance of fire protection systems.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
