Job DescriptionFire Alarm Engineer – Kent & London Areas

CBW is excited to partner with a well-established Fire & Security company to recruit an experienced Fire Alarm Engineer for their operations across Kent and London areas. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual looking to join a reputable company that values career development and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Salary: £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Why This Role? As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing fire detection and alarm systems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and upholding the high standards that the company is known for. You will have the chance to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, supported by a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform scheduled servicing of fire and security systems according to company standards.
  2. Attend emergency callouts, carry out remedial repairs, and make minor additions to existing systems.
  3. Maintain clear communication with customers regarding system performance, defects, and fire safety concerns.
  4. Manage stock levels and equipment efficiently.
  5. Complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
  6. Work in compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  7. Provide suggestions for system improvements to the Line Manager.

What We’re Looking For: To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

  1. At least 3 years of experience in a similar Fire Alarm Engineer role.
  2. In-depth knowledge of BS5839 Part 1.
  3. Experience with fire alarm systems, including the ability to recommend improvements.
  4. Basic Electrical Safety training (ECA).
  5. Familiarity with key fire safety standards (BS7671, BS5839, BS6266).
  6. Experience working with Siemens and Gent analogue fire alarm systems.
