Financial Planner (UK/US planning)

Exchange Street Claims ltd
London
GBP 100,000 - 125,000
Job description

Salary/Rate: To £85,000 + bespoke bonus + benefits

As much as you love the job, life at work is frustrating when you don't feel you have a voice.

At this niche UK/US financial planning business, you won't face those frustrations.

One of the benefits of joining a small, start-up outfit like this is that you'll have a say in how they grow. A seat at the table to have an influence over proposition, strategy, and culture. And an invaluable lesson in how to run and scale a business.

There's already plenty to build on. They were only set up a couple of years ago and they've already grown AUM to an impressive figure. And with a steady flow of referrals and leads from professional connections, they're going to need an extra planner to cope with demand.

Which is where you come in.

You'll work alongside the MD who set up and oversaw such impressive growth. Supported by a specialist paraplanner, you'll work with existing clients and build client numbers. As for the clients, 50% of them are from the entertainment sector, so that's sports stars, musicians, etc. The other 50% are business owners/leaders.

Proposition-wise you'll be independent. And not only that, you'll have a full range of solutions at your disposal e.g. VCT, EIS, mortgages, and protection.

Salary is to £85,000 and there are two bonus schemes. One is based on quality/values, the other on performance. But it's not a one-size-fits-all structure - your targets will be tailored to you and agreed with you at the outset.

As for other benefits:

  • Support with further qualifications, including study leave
  • Pension and death in service benefits
  • 25 days holiday (+ Bank Holidays) per annum
  • The ability and support to work flexibly where appropriate
  • Cycle to Work Scheme
  • Private Medical Insurance (Bupa)

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

You'll hold dual qualifications in the US and UK and have at least two years of experience in cross-border financial planning. You'll also have a strong understanding of US and UK tax regimes and regulations.

These are must-haves. Cross-border financial planning is a niche area requiring expertise, and it's vital for this business that you have it.
