Financial Planner – Manage Existing Book of HNW Clients

Salary: £70k - £90k basic salary plus bonuses
Location: Offices near Epsom

My client is a Chartered independent wealth planning firm with offices near Epsom/Leatherhead. They offer whole of market financial advice to HNW retirees, accumulators, local families, and SME owners based across Sussex, Kent, and London. They manage the affairs of 250 clients with assets ranging from £500k to £8m. The advisers consult on pensions, investments, tax planning, cashflow modelling, retirement planning, protections, and some esoteric schemes such as VCT & EIS schemes. They have longstanding relationships with some clients stretching back 20 years.

The business has won numerous awards and is actively engaged in local community events, advocating for many charitable causes. They prioritize exceptional customer satisfaction, resulting in a very high retention rate. The support team comprises an experienced group of pooled Administrators and Paraplanners, who are encouraged to progress and develop through ongoing CPD and industry exams.

The Managing Director is creating a brand-new role for a Financial Planner responsible for managing a portion of the existing book of business. Clients are mainly based in Surrey but also include clients in the North of England and abroad. This is a servicing role suitable for candidates with a background in an independent wealth planning firm, capable of handling complex HNW cases and possessing the gravitas to manage the business's best clients. You will have dedicated admin and paraplanning support, as well as a dedicated Operations Manager. Generating new business is welcomed, and client meetings will be a mix of face-to-face and virtual.
