We have a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Institution Manager at our London Office. The Financial Institution Manager will cultivate, oversee, and execute the relationship management strategy for financial institution, corporate and wholesale clients, counterparts and vendors, collaborating with both internal teams and external partners to enhance the wholesale services offerings in alignment with overarching goals and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage and monitor Treasury accounts, including ongoing KYC and due diligence for clients, counterparts and vendors, and maintain records of communications, meetings, and agreements.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders including but not limited to Finance and Product Management teams to optimise the Bank's funding book by reducing the cost, improving the duration mix, and retaining the flow consistency while taking a holistic view on the Bank's overall liquidity & funding requirements.
  • Maintain robust and effective sales plans for the short, medium, and long term to support the achievement of the Wholesale Funding strategy and targets and regularly review progress against plan and targets focusing on retention and new business acquisition.
  • Facilitate the smooth functioning of ALCO meetings by coordinating schedules, preparing agendas, documentation packs, and minutes, and ensuring timely follow-up on action points. Ultimately contributing to the effective governance and decision-making processes within the Bank.
  • Lead the wholesale funding meetings and actively contribute to related subcommittees and working groups, including the Product and Pricing Development Group (PPDG) by providing precise and up-to-date information on the Bank's funding book to ensure that Wholesale Funding remains aligned with the broader commercial and risk objectives of the business.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships and deliver outstanding service with the Bank's strategic partners, ensuring that we offer differentiation and demonstrate the Bank's values to its counterparties and promoting loyalty to the Bank.
  • Exhibit proficiency in Treasury operations encompassing cash monitoring, foreign exchange (FX), Sukuk, and derivatives, demonstrating a fair understanding of these processes and financial instruments by offering support to Front Office endeavours whenever required.
  • Build and develop relationships with key stakeholders at all levels within the Bank, ensuring effective and collaborative partnerships to deliver the Bank's strategic objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Significant Wholesale Funding and FI experience.
  • Proven experience of successfully achieving sales targets and delivering profitable business in a sales environment.
  • Good understanding of system and regulations in relation to wholesale funding market.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, facilitation skills and ability to present confidently and to engage and manage stakeholders, developing relationships at all levels effectively.
  • Good Financial Markets awareness especially on the UK domestic market.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Continue to develop and execute the wholesale funding management strategy attracting new CPs from a variety of sectors.
  • Deliver the strategy agreed with senior colleagues to meet the bank's growth in wholesale funding liabilities.
  • Able to demonstrate interpersonal skills required to develop close relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Have excellent communication, relationship management and sales skills to proactively develop new business on an ongoing basis.
  • Positively represent the Bank and promote the brand.
  • Maintain strong and positive working relationships and communicate effectively with prospects, customers and colleagues.
