Job description

Part-time Financial Controller wanted in London

About the role:

The role is to work with our client in their non-profit business. The basics in the finance function are covered but there is a need for an experienced and commercially-minded Financial Controller to lead the finance function and help move the business forward, on a part-time basis.

About You:

You should be a qualified and experienced Financial Controller with experience working in growing SMEs. Preferably, you are already self-employed and available quickly with at least 2 days of availability per week.

Your expertise should include:

  • Management accounts
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Cashflow and profit forecasting
  • Experience and working knowledge of Xero
  • Experienced in assessing and implementing appropriate financial controls
  • Commercially experienced
  • Year-end processes (but not statutory accounts)
  • Experienced Excel user including pivots, sumifs and graphs
  • Proficiency in presenting financial and commercial information to non-financial leaders
  • You must be fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACMA/FCCA/ICAEW) or QBE (5+ years) with experience managing a finance team.
  • Experience working in the charity sector is essential

As this role is two days a week (self-employed basis) it could work alongside other client work.

Rate of pay: £40 per hour

Location: London - 2 days p/week
