Financial Controller – Energy Transition Investment Platform

Our client, a Global Energy Transition Investor, is looking to appoint a Financial Controller. This position will report into the Operations & Control Director and work closely with the Project Development team.

Our client has £3bn+ AUM and has invested over £10bn into the clean energy space since their inception, with a presence across Solar PV, Wind, Battery Storage, Biofuels, and Thermal Power.

Financial Controller - Key responsibilities:

• Financial management of holding and project companies
• Cover day-to-day accounting and monitor day-to-day financial operations within the company, including cash management, invoicing of revenue and expenses, budgeting, payments, and other transactions
• Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial management reporting (UK GAAP & IFRS)
• Manage group cash flow support with accurate forecasting
• Manage annual audit process
• Support project analysis, validation of plans and ad-hoc requests
• Ensuring tax compliance
• Provision of information to lenders to meet requirements of loan agreements
• Manage annual budget process and within-year forecasts, working closely with relevant teams to ensure that risks to delivery of targets are identified early and that budgetary controls are robust
• Work with the projects team to ensure that capital expenditure is controlled and early identification of risks

Ideal Financial Controller:

• Qualified accountant
• University degree
• Exposure to accounting in construction or the Renewable industry is preferred
• High numeracy
• IT literacy and communication skills

London or Bristol based.
