Financial Controller | Oldham (3 days in office) | £60-70k | PE Backed

Axon Moore have exclusively partnered with a PE backed FMCG business in Oldham who have created a new role in their team for a number 2 in Finance to report to the FD.

This is an excellent business who plan to go through a PE transaction in the next 3 years, therefore would suit an ambitious qualified accountant looking for career progression.

Responsibilities include:

1. Provide accurate management accounts in line with the agreed timetable
2. Oversee all month end processes
3. Produce regular reports and statistics as required and provide insight to the business
4. Management of financial stock reporting including reconciliation and provisions
5. Daily reporting and maintenance of actual performance versus forecast
6. Managing and overseeing the cash flow of the company including monitoring and control of all payments through bank accounts
7. Business partner non-finance stakeholders and present results to them in a confident and considered way
8. Develop and coach the wider team
9. Identify patterns in company spending and revenue; create and propose solutions to any problem areas
10. Management of foreign currency and relationships with providers
11. Promote a performance-based culture to ensure agreed targets are met ensuring performance reviews are conducted

Ideal candidate:

1. Fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)
2. FMCG/Manufacturing experience is desirable not essential
3. Solid experience of running a small finance and accounts department in a similar sized organisation
