Main Responsibilities:

Controlling and Financial Reporting

  • Responsible for the monthly closing and reporting, ensuring reporting deadlines are met.
  • Responsible for the balance sheet accounts being properly reconciled on a monthly basis.
  • Responsible for maintaining fixed assets and intangibles records.
  • Perform and/or supervise MTM valuation ensuring it is performed correctly.
  • Perform and/or supervise inventory valuation ensuring it is performed correctly. Ensure inventory reconciliations are completed appropriately.
  • Understanding of VAT tax.
  • Supervise accounts payable and receivables domains providing guidance to the respective leads.
  • Ensure accounts payable ledger and accounts receivable ledgers are properly maintained, and cash applications and payments are executed in a timely manner.
  • Supervise month-end close activities in the accounts payable and receivables domains.
  • Ensure SOX compliance.
  • Support any ad-hoc requests.
  • Support corporate budgeting process.
  • Support FP&A in budgeting and forecasting process, if required.

Fiduciary Responsibilities
  • Review and set up processes and procedures.
  • Ensure controls are in place and followed, and full compliance with SOX controls.
  • Ensure compliance with local rules and regulations and company policies.
  • Work with the different COEs or Functions to support external reporting, Statutory, VAT filing, and CIT.
  • Understand transfer pricing and provide supporting documentation when required by the tax function.

Management
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the accounting/controlling teams based in Hemswell, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit control.
  • Work with the commercial teams on a daily basis to provide support from an accounting and controlling perspective and build strong relationships with senior management for effective business partnership.

Your Profile

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
  • Business Administration University degree or Accounting Degree, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting and Finance.
  • Experience in people management leading medium-sized teams.
  • USGAAP Knowledge.
  • Understanding of Futures and Forex.
  • Knowledge in the Grain Origination and Commodities markets.
  • Strong technical understanding of accounting standards and regulatory reporting.
  • Outstanding analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Must be a positive and inspiring leader who can bring people together as a team and support learning and development.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience of working in a global organization.
  • Open-minded.
  • Resilient and determined.
  • Ability to interact with all levels in the organization.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Good communication skills.
