Job description

Financial Controller - Poole - Up to £65,000 Salary + Strong Benefits

Are you a dynamic and ambitious individual who would be interested in a fresh challenge with a manufacturing business well established in the Construction sector? If so, Venture Recruitment would like to speak with you about a highly profitable client we're helping in their search for a confident and results-oriented Financial Controller.

The successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to help drive financial and commercial strategies forward. This is an exciting time to join an organisation that has grown market share considerably over the last 24 months. They also have a strong recent track record of internal promotion and would look for this role to develop over the next 18 months.

You will be the key point of contact for Finance in the UK, working directly with the general manager and Group CFO. Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Develop and manage accurate financial reporting, including monthly management accounts, KPIs, and other commercial reporting.
  2. Ensure rolling financial forecasts are timely and support business-critical decision making.
  3. Conduct financial analysis, including cost analysis, pricing analysis, and profitability analysis, to identify areas for improvement, cost optimisation, and revenue enhancement.
  4. Conduct detailed cost-benefit analyses for make-vs-buy decisions and capital investment opportunities.
  5. Establish and monitor product line contribution margins and support pricing strategies.
  6. Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and business cases for new investments.
