3+ years of experience in corporate controlling.
Fluent in English and Hungarian with advanced Excel skills.

The role

We are actively looking for a financial controller to help manage all of the financial activity for our new site in Debrecen. This new site is going to be a state of the art location that will eventually employ over 600 people and work with one of the best known names globally. You will be reporting to the finance manager and will make sure that all of the day to day financial activity is being looked after.

You will take part in monthly and annual closing tasks, prepare monthly, annual and ad hoc statements and prepare internal management account reports. There will be work with reconciling account data and work with the rest of the finance team at the plant to make sure that any financial issues are resolved swiftly.

There will also be work around managing the fixed assets records, supporting the finance manager and making sure that the financial data is consistent and accurate.

The person

So, who are we looking for?

Master's or Bachelor's degree in Economics (Finance and/or Accounting)
At least 3 years of professional experience in corporate controlling
Fluent English (C1) and Hungarian skills (C1/C2 level)
Advanced technical skills in Excel (VBA will be a plus) and other MS Office applications
Process-oriented and analytical mindset, effective problem-solving skills, excellent logical thinking
Ability to work with high accuracy under time pressure, to ensure quality and meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work responsibly both independently and in a team, taking initiative and ensuring good collaboration
Willingness to undergo training at another location

Preferred qualifications:

Certified public accountant qualification
Knowledge of German
