WHAT YOU’LL DO : Responsibilities

What you can expect on a typical day :

Key Responsibilities :

1. PMO Leadership and Strategy
2. Define and implement the strategic direction of the PMO in alignment with business goals.
3. Establish and manage the PMO framework, methodologies, tools, and templates to support consistent project delivery.
4. Advocate for the value of project management across the organization.
5. Governance and Standards
6. Develop and enforce project governance standards, policies, and procedures.
7. Establish performance metrics to monitor the health of projects, programs, and portfolios.
8. Ensure compliance with organizational standards, project management practices, and regulatory requirements.
9. Oversee the Implementation project portfolio, ensuring alignment with business priorities and resource optimization.
10. Facilitate project reviews to assess project performance, identify risks, and recommend corrective actions.
11. Drive decision-making processes for project prioritization and resource allocation.
12. Team Leadership and Development
13. Build and lead a high-performing PMO team, including project managers, analysts, and support staff.
14. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to team members.
15. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
16. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication
17. Serve as a primary point of contact for project-related communication with senior leadership and stakeholders.
18. Develop and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and collaboration.
19. Deliver regular updates, dashboards, and presentations on project and portfolio performance.
20. Identify opportunities to optimize processes, tools, and methodologies for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
21. Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in project management.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE : Requirements

Experience :

1. 10+ years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role managing a PMO.
2. Demonstrated success in leading large, complex programs and portfolios.
3. Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
4. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
5. Proficiency in project management tools.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams and build consensus among stakeholders.

Certifications :

1. PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) required.
2. Quebec candidates : While French is required for Quebec-based roles, use of the English language is also required due to the global nature of the business and the need to interact with ADP’s headquarters and international sites.

BONUS POINTS FOR THESE : Preferred Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field experience.
2. SAFe Agile certification or equivalent is a plus.
