Financial Controller

We are looking for a financial controller or a finance manager looking to step up into a financial controller role. The role is with a modern and growing SME based in Harrogate.

This is a hybrid role with an excellent benefits package attached including 27 days holiday rising to 30 days.

The post reports to the Managing Director and the role is a key part of the senior leadership team, supporting the strategic decision making of the company.

The appointed financial controller will manage the finance department, ensuring the financial health of the company as well as business partnering across multiple departments.

Responsibilities include:

1. Preparing the monthly board pack, providing insightful and meaningful commentary to aid decision making.
2. Providing leadership to the finance department.
3. Budgeting and forecasting.
4. Cash flow management.
5. Providing relevant data analysis.
6. Point of contact for the auditors, statutory accounts and VAT returns.
7. Manage relationships with external stakeholders.
