Role details

As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the financial health and reporting of the organisation while playing a pivotal role in driving commercial success. Reporting to the Finance Director, you'll lead a high-performing finance team, ensuring robust financial management and providing critical insights to support business growth and performance.


Responsibilities of the Financial Controller

  1. Act as a key partner to the leadership team, providing expert financial advice to influence strategic decision-making.
  2. Lead the preparation of monthly management accounts, annual budgets, and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  3. Deliver in-depth financial analysis to identify opportunities for revenue growth, cost optimisation, and improved profitability.
  4. Manage cash flow and working capital effectively, ensuring the business is positioned for growth.
  5. Partner with external stakeholders to maintain strong financial governance.

What the successful candidate will bring

  1. Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).
  2. Extensive experience in a finance leadership role, ideally in a commercially focused environment.
  3. Proven ability to act as a business partner, influencing non-finance stakeholders and driving performance.
  4. Strong technical accounting knowledge combined with excellent analytical and strategic skills.
