Are you a dynamic and experienced finance professional looking for a leadership role in a small but growing business? My client is seeking a Financial Controller to take full responsibility for their finance function. As the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for a small team and report directly into the Managing Director.

As Financial Controller, you will lead the finance function, ensuring the efficient management of financial operations and providing strategic insight to support business growth.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Management Accounts - Overseeing the production of timely and accurate management accounts.
  2. Year-End Accounts & Audit - Ensuring smooth year-end processes and liaising with external auditors.
  3. Budgeting & Forecasting - Leading the budgeting process and delivering accurate financial forecasts.
  4. Business Partnering - Working closely with operational colleagues to provide financial insight and drive commercial success.
  5. Project & Cost Management
  6. Continuous Improvement - Identifying opportunities to enhance financial processes and efficiencies.
  7. People Management - Leading and developing the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.

The ideal Financial Controller will be:

  • Finalist/qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Has proven leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams.
  • Experience within SME environment & Construction is advantageous.
