Job description

RM Recruit Ltd is working in partnership with our Warwickshire based charity client to recruit a Financial Controller on a permanent basis.

Our client is on the look out for a skilled financial leader with a passion for process improvement and possesses experience in a charity setting. This is a full-time, permanent role where you will be pivotal in decision making and leading by example.

Reporting to the CFO, you will lead financial operations across the organisation and its subsidiaries. Main duties include:

  1. Overseeing monthly and annual financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting
  2. Full production of accounts with full commentary to board
  3. Managing financial compliance and audits across key organisations
  4. Leading and developing a skilled finance team (7 direct reports)
  5. Improving systems, processes and reporting capabilities
  6. Providing financial guidance to stakeholders across the organisation
  7. Lead the annual and quarterly budgeting process
  8. Forecasting
  9. Leading the finance team in achieving key KPI's

As the ideal candidate, you will be qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) and possess strong experience in the charity arena. You will be a proven leader who can confidently lead and motivate the team. This role is initially office based; however, after a period of time, it will transition into more flexible working. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a forward-thinking organisation where you will be instrumental in decision making.
