Job Title: Financial Controller – Manufacturing Sector

Location: Colchester, Essex

Salary: £50,000-£55,000 (potential flex to £60k)

Our client, a leading manufacturing company based in Colchester, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Financial Controller to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role within a well-established and innovative organisation, contributing to their continued growth and success.

These guys doubled their turnover last year to £4.4M and are now on track to make £6.4M this year, with no signs of slowing down! This role is working directly with the MD and will be mainly a stand-alone role, apart from working with the fractional finance team.

The role:

As the Financial Controller, you will oversee the financial operations and be hands-on with all aspects of the business:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
2. Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
3. Develop and implement financial controls and reporting systems.
4. Support the executive team with financial planning, risk management, and performance analysis.
5. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.
6. Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights that support operational decision-making.
7. Hands-on approach getting involved with all financial tasks.

Requirements:

1. 4 years+ experience.
2. Strong financial and management accounting skills.
3. Proficient in financial software and advanced MS Excel skills.
4. Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
5. Qualifications are beneficial but not essential.
