  4. Submit consolidated data by working day five.
  5. Manage financial transactions including ledgers, payroll, inventory and general entries.
  6. Handle VAT, PAYE, corporation tax and R&D tax relief claims.
  7. Drive process improvements and manage system upgrades, documentation, and training.
  8. Support Business Management System and ISO compliance.

Business Strategy & Planning

  1. Develop dynamic business plans, forecasts, and scenario models.
  2. Collaborate with Senior Management Team, procurement, and engineering to help reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  3. Identify risks and opportunities, and support strategic decisions.

Corporate Governance & Stakeholder Management

  1. Liaise with parent company on governance and reporting.
  2. Support mass production strategy and represent finance at board meetings.
  3. Manage supplier relationships, including legal, payroll, and IT.
  4. Oversee IT provision and ERP system, ensuring GDPR compliance.

Team Leadership

  1. Manage and develop finance staff, conduct appraisals, coach and train.
  2. Cross-train business support team for continuity in finance tasks.

We are looking for someone who can thrive in an environment where they need to take initiative and initiate change. An analytical and methodical person who has good attention to detail, is an effective communicator and can manage their workload and meet deadlines. Someone who will enjoy working in a friendly environment with a group of like-minded people who are all invested in helping the business grow.

In terms of qualifications, preference would be a qualified accountant but would also consider QBE candidates with the relevant Manufacturing background. You will have proven experience at a controller level and working knowledge of an audit process, systems improvement and a strong commercial acumen.
