Interim Financial Controller

StockportFull-time, on-site (5 days a week)

£300-£450 per day depending on experience

Dynamic SME wholesale business based in the Stockport area are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller. Therole is pivotal in supporting the Managing Director with critical financial processes and ensuring smooth operations during year-end and month-end.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Year-End and Month-End Processes, assisting the Managing Director in managing and executing year-end and month-end financial activities.
  • Work closely with auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Supervise the transactional team to ensure efficient and accurate processing of financial transactions.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations:Perform and oversee balance sheet reconciliations to maintain financial integrity.
  • Statutory Reporting:Ensure timely and accurate statutory reporting in line with UK regulations.
  • Payroll Management:Oversee payroll processes to ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.

Requirements:

  • Must have relevant UK experience in a similar role with experience managing year end and month end processes
  • Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or Qualified by experience
  • Must be available to start immediately and have full right to work in the UK
  • Experience using Navision/MS Dynamics is essential
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the Managing Director, senior leadership, external auditors, and transactional team.
