A newly created Financial Controller role to support further growth
Exciting business in their 2nd round of PE investment
About Our Client
My client is a circa £80 million turnover Private Equity backed business that has grown significantly over the last few years, both organically and more recently through acquisition. They are in their 2nd round of PE investment, having been acquired by their current owners 3 years ago. You will work closely alongside their high calibre Head of Finance and CFO as well as the wider SLT.
Job Description
Responsible for the largest business unit within the group and manage a small team within this business unit
Support business partnering with operational and commercial areas of the business to aid value creation
Prepare analysis and reports for the board and SLT to demonstrate business performance
Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, working to deadlines and other supporting information
Support the Head of Finance with the group board pack by contributing insights from analysis
Report a 13-week forecast on a weekly basis for consolidation into the Group
Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Ensure that sales and margin forecasts are accurately maintained
Take responsibility for the budgeting and forecasting process for the business unit
Liaise with the auditors to support the annual audit
The Successful Applicant
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent
Previous experience operating as a Financial Controller or at Finance Manager level
Experience working within a contracting/service organisation is advantageous
Strong financial analysis experience and the ability to present data
Experience preparing management accounts and financial forecasts
Good communication skills
Strong attention to detail
