The role of Financial Accountant is key to the success of the EBS Core team. The individual will be responsible for all compliance work related to the UK & IE companies within their scope and will work as part of the team to ensure standardization of processes and sufficient backup & support within the team. They will also play a key role in supporting the GL team to perform their duties for the relevant companies.

What you'll do:

  • Drive the period end closing (month and year end)
  • Perform month to month analysis during the closing, in order to check integrity, consistency and reasonableness of the account's balances
  • Operate full accounting of Holding companies if applicable (all activities end to end process)
  • Drive pre/after closing meetings
  • Supporting rolling forecast & annual target setting processes
  • Regular meetings with Budget Holders
  • Balance sheet management including the monitoring of assets and liabilities, including quarterly reviews with stakeholders.
  • Utilise Automated Tools to identify anomalies to investigate
  • Safeguarding Tax Compliance (Income Tax, VAT, PSA etc)
  • Liaising with External Tax Advisors to complete Tax Comps
  • Calculation of Yearend Tax Forms
  • Quarterly POA and allocation over Group companies in GPA
  • Complete annual Transfer Pricing Exercise for entities in scope
  • Any other Tax related activities
  • Main Contact for External & Internal Auditors

Salary: £70,000 - £90,000 per annum + bonus and 25 days holiday
