We're looking to recruit a Financial Controller to manage our day-to-day finance operations and own our month end processes. You'll manage some of our annual financial compliance activity such as our VAT and Corporation Tax, and our audit processes. You'll take specific responsibility for our sales ledger and debtor processes, but also oversee our purchase ledger, manage our bank reconciliations and payments. In addition, you'll support other activities such as delivering on our reporting requirements to our US parent company and manage our commission and expenses processes.

You'll be part of a small but mighty team - managing a Finance Assistant and working closely with our Finance Director. As a result, the value of your work is evident every day - our finance team are vital to the success of our business. And there's more - if you are keen to develop your career and really make an impact, over time you can take on additional responsibilities such as full ownership of our year end audit and our annual budgeting process.

What are we looking for? Well, we need an experienced pair of hands to manage our daily finance activities relatively autonomously so the successful candidate will have significant experience of managing all daily accounting processes for a business. You'll also likely be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified. As important though, will be strong communication skills that enable you to develop successful relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, an eye for detail and the ability to meet deadlines. Above all, you'll be a real doer - someone who can thrive under pressure and has the drive to keep pushing the department onto bigger and better things, all within a rapidly changing business. If you can add to that familiarity with the latest cloud accounting systems such as Xero then you could be our perfect match.
