This is a full time office based role in Blackburn, East Lancashire, you must meet all the ‘essential criteria’ for your application to be considered.
Kenton Black Finance have partnered with a national group of companies based in East Lancashire, who have business interests in several sectors including healthcare, property management, education, and maintenance. This group is in a period of high growth and has a successful track record spanning many years in the sectors they operate. There is a requirement to appoint a finance lead and no.1 with the successful applicant managing the finance department, taking responsibility for the production of month-end accounting, group consolidation, and year-end accounts. The position shall also enhance process and procedure, adding value across each of the business units.
As Financial Controller, you shall enjoy a varied role which offers many technical and commercial accounting duties. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you shall enhance processes and develop the team to establish timely and accurate monthly/yearly accounting. With the ability to formulate a strategic and long-term business plan, you shall spearhead change whilst ensuring that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met.
To be considered, you shall be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified with strong technical skills and a proven track record of adding value in a leadership role. You shall have team supervision experience and be seeking a varied role which offers the opportunity to add value at a senior level. Technically strong, you will be able to demonstrate strong Excel skills, being competent in the use of VLOOKUPs and pivot tables. With excellent attention to detail, a proven ability to work under pressure, and experience of working with extremely confidential and highly sensitive information, you shall be proficient at developing strong working relationships across an organisation.
