Financial Compliance Manager - Europe
Location: London (Hybrid)

As part of our ongoing journey of growth and building on our approach as A Forever Company, we're looking to appoint a Financial Compliance Manager to establish, improve and operate our internal control frameworks across financial reporting for our businesses within Europe.
You'll be working with some fantastic teammates at all levels to ensure compliance and efficiency within our teams.
This role offers significant potential for development as we continue our growth across the insurance market both within the United Kingdom and Europe.
We're looking for a teammate with prior experience in the Insurance Broking / MGA / Insurer world or proven experience in assisting insurance businesses.
Essential Duties and Functions:
- Evaluate and act upon financial risks, guidelines, controls, and reporting.
- Administer controls for European Profit Centers:
- Setup, users, reference documents, etc. specific to European Profit Centers
- Evaluate control exceptions and deficiencies
- Educate and troubleshoot items related to Archer with European teammates
- Administer late CSAs for European Profit Centers and ensure timely resolution
- Update the Brown & Brown Accounting Guidelines including controls, processes, and procedure changes
- Manage risk fraud deterrence analysis review for Europe-specific issues
- Correspond with financial team leaders in Europe
- Update, review, document, and test COSO requirements for European Profit Centers
- Liaison to the external auditors of the company
- Perform other duties as assigned by Head of European Reporting
- Aid in the annual budget preparation and monitoring
About you:You'll have solid exposure to financial compliance within the insurance industry and be looking for the next step in your career to drive a function forward. You should be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent) with a well-developed skill set that includes high-level communication (written, verbal, video), analytical, stakeholder management, influencing, and problem-solving skills, coupled with the ability to use finance and IT-related packages.
Exposure to SOX controls, GAAP (including US GAAP), working knowledge of IFRS and FCA/Financial Legislation/Rules is required. You should be comfortable traveling to various business locations outside of London when necessary. Exposure to auditing US businesses and Workday Finance is desirable but not essential.
