Principal Researcher - Legal Finance & Accounting

I am working on a really exciting Financial Analyst role in a top London based, international law firm. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody who has started their career in finance and is looking to make a move into a role like this. They are looking for somebody who is eager to learn, develop and work collaboratively in a team.

As the Financial Analyst, the main duties and responsibilities for the role are as follows:

1. Supporting the Senior Financial Analyst in the production of weekly/monthly reporting.
2. Assistance in the maintenance of financial data within the firm's financial system.
3. Providing administrative support for the budgeting and forecasting process.
4. Providing support to the Head of Group Accountants and Group Accountant with ad hoc reporting requests.
5. Supporting wider projects and initiatives led by the Global Finance team designed to enhance the financial performance of the firm.

To be successful in this Financial Analyst role you must -

1. Excellent working knowledge of Excel.
2. Working knowledge of Aderant desired but not required.
3. Working knowledge of SQL desired but not required.
4. Good organisational skills with the ability to use own initiative and a proactive attitude.
5. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work produced.
6. Team player and flexible with a can-do attitude.
7. Excellent communication skills with the ability to distil financial information to colleagues in other departments of the business.
8. Ideally, the candidate will have experience of working within a legal/professional services environment.
