Job description

Financial Accounting Manager, Hybrid, Worthing

Your new company
This large commercial client is looking to recruit a Financial Accounting Manager to report to the Financial Controller for a hybrid role.

Your new role

You will be responsible for controlling monthly accounting and reporting, including monthly journals, and ensuring all financial reporting requirements are met. You will manage the preparation of statutory accounts and the annual audit for the UK, and collaborate to support year-end close and audits in various subsidiaries. Your role will involve controlling and supporting finance processes, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Banking, Payroll, and Credit Control. Additionally, you will manage tax requirements, working with external advisers on VAT, PAYE, and Corporation Tax. You will work with Treasury to prepare cash forecasts and manage cash requirements. The role also includes financial checking of expenditure, pricing calculations, and master data changes. You will support the FP&A team in budgeting and forecasting, project cost reporting and margin project review. You will identify efficiencies and opportunities for cost reductions across the business.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified Accountant with strong financial accounting experience gained ideally from working within a large corporate environment. ERP systems knowledge such as SAP or Oracle. Excellent communication skills as you will be liaising with various stakeholders throughout the company.

What you'll get in return

Salary is £65,000 - £75,000 depending on experience, plus an 8% bonus, 25-day holidays plus bank holiday, hybrid, 3 days in the office, 2 remote.
