Join Our Team as a Financial Accountant!

Are you a part-qualified accountant looking for an exciting opportunity to grow your career? AXA Partners UK & Ireland is seeking a motivated Financial Accountant to join our dynamic Finance team based in Redhill. If you embrace change, have a solid grasp of financial accounting, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be the perfect role for you!

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support Audits and Statutory Accounts: Help gather audit evidence and collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process for our UK and Ireland entities.
  2. Bank Reconciliations: Prepare and complete bank reconciliations for our Home and Motor business lines and assist in clearing any unreconciled items.
  3. Tax Matters: Review VAT-related topics and assist with the annual corporation tax return for multiple entities while supporting ad hoc tax queries.
  4. Promote Change: Identify weaknesses in current processes and recommend solutions to improve efficiency within the finance function.
  5. Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with various stakeholders across the business to support financial activities, including data collection for month-end reviews.
Minimum Requirements:
  • You’re a part-qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with a desire to learn and grow in the finance sector.
  • Previous experience in collating audit evidence or coordinating audit tasks is a plus.
  • Familiarity with VAT and company tax reporting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills will help you manage and analyze large datasets effectively.
  • You have a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • You work well in a team and maintain a positive attitude.
