Financial Accountant

Reed Finance are partnered with a higher education institution to onboard a Financial Accountant for maternity cover of 6-7 months. You will ideally be available on short notice and be familiar with the schedule demands of a large fast-paced organisation to enable you to hit the ground running. Reporting into the FD and Assistant FD, this is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience within a new sector and offers a friendly and supportive working environment and very flexible working (after an initial few weeks).

Key requirements:

1. Preparation of Financial Statements
2. Audit liaison (external)
3. Month End close
4. Cashflow forecasting
5. Quarterly VAT return
6. Ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet
7. Cashflow and treasury management
8. Capital grant return
9. ONS requests
10. Supervising the Finance Officer, offering guidance and mentoring

You will be a fully qualified accountant with a natural flair for process improvement. Salary offered is up to £60k per annum and offers a vibrant and stimulating working environment.
