Location: Crewe, CW1 6XQ

Working Hours: Monday – Thursday, 08:00 – 16:30, Friday 08:00 – 15:30 (flexible working considered)

Salary: £32,000 – £33,000

Job Purpose

Control the Accounts Receivable (AR) function at Crewe including the shop, vending, jiffy van, wholesale, fresh and frozen sales.

Key Duties

1. Daily posting of Direct Debits, BACS payments and weekly expenses
2. Bank reconciliations
3. Reconciling fresh accounts
4. Weekly and Monthly statements
5. Processing customer card payments
6. Monitoring fresh aged debt
7. Overseeing frozen aged debt
8. Dealing with customer account queries
9. Weekly and Daily invoicing (EDI)
10. Weekly Just Eat differences (journal completed after month end)
11. Credit checks on new accounts
12. Supporting the reception team calls
13. People management responsibilities for 2 staff members and their responsibilities
14. Support with Accounts Payable, VAT returns and general accounting where necessary to support the site finance team

Experience

1. Previous experience in managing a small team
2. Good understanding of finance systems and processes
3. Effective communicator
4. Excellent attention to detail
5. Proactive approach to work
6. Can-do attitude
