Job description

Project-focused Financial Accountant for a large listed financial services business

Your new company

A large and complex financial services business with an enviable reputation and impressive growth is currently looking to recruit a project-focused Financial Accountant.

Your new role

In this role you will work closely with the Head of Financial Projects to manage all regulatory and financial projects across the business. The role will avoid the churn of monthly reporting duties and will instead focus on a range of financial projects within the financial accounting and audit space. For example, projects will include the project management of the delivery of the external audit, and also projects involving the analysis and review of various elements of financial accounting, including the preparation of financial statements and statutory returns. The role will also require regular liaison with external parties, including auditors.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will ideally be practice-trained and ACA qualified, and it is highly likely that they will have external audit experience in financial services or large complex PLC organisations. A strong understanding of financial principles, analysis, and controls across financial services and the ability to analyse complex financial data will be key. Meticulous attention to detail and strong communication skills will also be required.

What you'll get in return

You will work for a large and complex organisation with an excellent reputation, and the role offers career development, along with a competitive remuneration and benefits package. The role also offers hybrid working (2-3 days in the office).
