The Europe Personal Care Finance team is a multi-disciplined group of professionals covering Finance Business Partnering, Supply Chain Finance, and Performance Management, with a high performance and dynamic mindset, and fostering pan European relationships to drive both professional and personal development.

JOB PURPOSE

This role will work within the PC UKI Finance team, as Finance lead for Skin Cleansing (₠250m TO) and Gifting. The role will own strategy & performance, partnering the Skin Cleansing & Gifting Director to drive multi-year profitable and competitive growth. This will involve end to end business partnering of the SCL + Gifting marketing team, CSP and CAMs.

In addition, this is the CD Finance Lead for PC and B&W, directly partnering 3 CD Directors and all PC and B&W CBMs, leading the performance management agenda and ensuring we are fit to win with our customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Skin Cleansing & Gifting:

  • Driving force behind strategic financial plan, P&L shape and business model in partnership with SCL + Gifting Director
  • Performance management lead for marketing and CD, partnering full P&L
  • Partner value with SCL / Gifting CD community - driving our commercial strategy and leading performance interventions in partnership with SCL CSP Manager
  • Support and challenge the SCL CD team using the business insights from Trade Promotional Analysis tool (TPA), Anaplan, Market Heartbeat and Profit Pool to enable data driven strategy and decision making using internal and external data sets.
  • Partner CD teams to review performance at a small c vs forecast and vs target, highlighting gaps, identifying opportunities and recommending corrective actions.

PC and B&W CD Finance

  • Act as PC and B&W lead, designing and implementing one way of working across Deos, SCL, B&W and acting as senior business partner / escalation point, whilst each finance manager will partner their own small c CAM community
  • Critically assess investment proposals while supporting and influencing CD teams to make the best data led decisions for the business.
  • Play a pivotal role in the customer joint business planning process bringing expertise in business unit strategy to customer negotiations.
  • Working with FET, Controllers and BU cross functional teams to provide key insights and analysis for customer investment decisions or market share performance in a specific cell and generating recommendations for corrective action.
  • Challenging the short-term forecast and reviewing it against short and long-term targets and ambition to identify risks and opportunities, with focus on partnering for value
  • Preparing material for and leading the CD Business performance reviews as the finance representative.
  • Lead interventions and process simplifications driving joined up E2E finance processes within the BU.
  • Understanding external drivers of customer and business unit performance bringing insight to customer teams and driving action across CSP and CD to ensure that we focus on business value and winning in the market.
  • Managing the career/skills development of one direct report, with additional responsibility for supporting the development of talent & capabilities within the wider BU Finance team.

ALL ABOUT YOU

  • Professional accounting qualification preferred (e.g. CIMA/ACCA)
