Job description

As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the Company's month-end process, including all aspects of general ledger accounting and reporting.

  • Location: London/Kent
  • Category: Finance
  • Type: Permanent

Key Duties (Including but not limited to):

  • Lead SSL’s month-end process, including creating the monthly balance sheet pack, reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, and monitoring the progress of associated actions.
  • Liaising with company auditors to facilitate and monitor responses to the SSL audit plan.
  • Managing and coaching a team of 6 and supporting their development.
  • Support the implementation of a new general ledger system to deliver process improvement and enhanced management reporting.
  • You will be an ACA, ACCA, or CIMA-qualified accountant.
  • Demonstrable experience financial report in the Insurance industry, preferable within an insurance broker or MGA.
  • Experience and competence in external financial reporting.
  • Line management experience and coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Experience in General Ledger / Finance system implementation, preferable.
